A motorcyclist caught travelling at what gardaí have called an "outrageous" speed has been arrested.
According to An Garda Síochána, Athy gardaí performed a speed check recently when they detected the motorcycle travelling at a speed of 159km/h in a 60km/h zone.
The motorcyclist was stopped, arrested and charged with dangerous driving.
They now risk a two-year disqualification, a €5,000 fine and a term of imprisonment of up to 6 months.
