A Naas District Court defendant has been charged with an alleged assault offence and alleged criminal damage offence.
Michael Dundon, with an address listed as 10 Curragh Downs, Brownstown in The Curragh, appeared before substitute judge Nicola-Jane Andrews on Thursday, July 11 last, in relation to the alleged offence.
Gardaí claim that on February 24 last, the 36-year-old grabbed and assaulted a woman at The Silken Thomas in Market Square, Kildare town.

It was also alleged that Mr Dundon threw her phone against a nearby wall.
Judge Andrews adjourned the case involving the accused to September 12, in order to allow time for jurisdiction to be marked.
The judge also adjourned the case in order to allow time for the disclosure of evidence to the defence.
