UPDATE: Kildare County Council commencing Compulsory Purchase Order on O'Modhráin Hall in Newbridge

KILDARE: Council asked to secure O’Modhrain Hall in Newbridge

Kildare County Council has announced that it is commencing a Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) in relation to O'Modhráin Hall in Newbridge.

The announcement was made on Friday, August 2 last.

The premises was sold by the trustees in 2017 with approval from the Charities Regulator.

The Mayor of Newbridge, Fine Gael councillor Peggy O'Dwyer, has welcomed the news.

She said: "This process will take time, but it is a positive development."

The planned use for the premises is unknown at present.
