Woman 'does not feel safe at home because of her father'

Man arrested after fight erupts in Naas Courthouse

A daughter told Naas District Court she does not feel safe at home because of her father.

She further alleged that he pulled her by her hoodie and she fell and landed on the back of her head.

“I don't feel safe in the house wondering when he’s going to snap.”

She also claimed that the  gardaí have been called and that the residence is rented with her and her mother paying for it.

Her mother claimed the man, who was not present and was not represented, is verbally abusive on a daily basis.

“We feel very unsafe, he has pushed me around," she claimed. She added he has always been like this.

Judge Desmond Zaidan granted an interim protection order and adjourned the case to September 23.
