County Kildare LEADER Partnership seeking volunteer drivers

County Kildare LEADER Partnership is seeking volunteer drivers to assist older people throughout Kildare.

The group said in a statement: "Based in Kildare town, the service will assist older people to access hospital appointments and social services / activities.

"Supported by Kildare County Council and the Department of Social Protection Community Employment Programme, the service is seeking volunteer drivers.

"The service will operate Monday to Friday during daytime hours."

Requirements include a full clean driver's licence and garda vetting, and full training will be offered.

County Kildare LEADER Partnership has said that if you are interested in being a volunteer driver, you can contact Sue on 087 114 9175 or email befriendkildare@countykildarelp.ie.
