A call has been made for a county council to buy burial plots from the owner of a private cemetery.
Cllr Bill Clear wants Kildare County Council to consider purchasing a number of plots from the private cemetery adjacent to Bodenstown Cemetery, on the outskirts of Sallins.
He said this should be done on behalf of the community in Sallins "given that this cemetery (Bodenstown) is nearly full."
