A theft which occurred at Kildare town premises has led to a garda investigation.
Garda Mark Connolly commented on the matter yesterday when he appeared on KFM.
He explained that on the evening of Thursday, September 5 last, a woman 'wearing a light blue jacket and a black towel on her head' put items into her jacket and left the store without paying for the items.
According to Gda Connolly, the incident took place at the Maxol service station store located on the Dublin Road in Kildare town.
He concluded by appealing for anyone with information in relation to the incident to contact Kildare town Garda Station on (045) 527 730.
When asked by the Leinster Leader about the matter, a garda spokesperson had this to say: "Gardaí received a report of an incident of theft that occurred at approximately 10.15pm on Thursday, September 5, 2024 in Kildare town."
"Investigations are ongoing," the spokesperson added.
