Kildare County Council is set to showcase 20 local food producers at this year’s ‘Taste of Kildare’ festival, which will take place from 20 to 22 of September at Naas Racecourse.
Taste of Kildare is an exciting celebration of local flavors and culinary talent. From farm-fresh produce to artisanal cheeses and craft beverages, the festival is a unique opportunity to experience the very best of what local talent has to offer.
This festival highlights the importance of supporting small-scale, local businesses that contribute to the sustainability of our local food economy.
Sponsored by Kildare County Council, the festival promises to offer a vibrant experience for food lovers, families, and the community, with a variety of food stalls, live demonstrations and interactive workshops.
Specifically, Kildare County Council’s Local Enterprise Office will showcase 20 local food and beverage producers in the Tote Hall over the weekend. This dedicated space is designed to spotlight the importance of supporting local producers and celebrating the rich diversity of food culture in our county.
Jacqui Mc Nabb, Head of Enterprise, Tourism and Economic Development, Kildare County Council said: “We are extremely proud to bring together 20 talented local food producers under one roof, who are all members of our food cluster ‘Flavours of Kildare’. In creating this space, we wanted to make this a unique opportunity to shine a spotlight on the people who work tirelessly behind the scenes to bring us fresh, delicious, and sustainable food. Our food cluster ‘Flavours of Kildare’ grows year on year, with the sole purpose of supporting Kildare’s food and hospitality businesses.”
In addition, Kildare’s Local Enterprise Office will bring a vibrant selection of craft and creativity to the festival on Saturday the 21st of September. GATHER will pop-up at Taste of Kildare on level 1 of the Tote Hall. For those that visited Gather at Kildare Village, or in its newest home in Market Square, Kildare Town, you’ll recognise the colourful, quirky and talented makers and designers of Kildare.
