An Athy resident who admitted to possessing heroin for sale and supply is due to be sentenced soon.
Christy Lammon, with an address listed as 126 Coney Meadows, Coneyboro in Athy, but who is currently in custody, will be sentenced next month.
The 56-year-old appeared before Judge Desmond Zaidan at Naas District Court on Thursday, September 19 last via video-link as he is currently in custody.
Gardaí told the judge that they conducted a raid on Mr Lammon's home on July 11 last.
As a result of this raid, gardaí found around €3,230 worth of heroin and €900 in cash at Mr Lammon's home, which was intended for sale and supply.
It was heard that Mr Lammon has 17 previous convictions, 16 of which are related to drugs offences.
Judge Zaidan adjourned the case to October 17 for sentencing.
