Newbridge Musical Theatre (NMT) is thrilled to present our upcoming concert, Now That’s What I Call 80’s!, taking place at the Riverbank Arts Centre on October 17 and 18.
This exciting show will transport you back to the decade that gave us some of the most iconic music in history.
With unforgettable performances of hits like Time After Time, Total Eclipse of the Heart, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Eye of the Tiger, and many more, this concert promises to be a celebration of 80’s music, showcasing incredible local talent.
Our members have been hard at work rehearsing to bring these beloved songs to the Riverbank stage, and we can’t wait to share the results with you.
As a community-driven local theatre group, we are proud to bring together performers and volunteers not just from Newbridge, but also from surrounding towns across County Kildare. Each year, we stage a large-scale musical production at Easter in Newbridge College Theatre.
NMT is a proud member of the Association of Irish Musical Societies (AIMS), which represents over 130 musical societies across Ireland, involving around 14,000 people in the world of musical theatre and reaching an audience base of 1.2 million. The talent on the amateur musical scene in Ireland has gone from strength to strength in recent years.
We are deeply connected to this thriving community, which is driven by a passion for performance, creativity, and community spirit.
Aside from our Easter productions, we remain active throughout the year, hosting a range of fundraising and social events, such as concerts, table quizzes, coffee mornings, bake sales, and carol singing.
These events not only help to support our productions but also offer our members a chance to connect with the local community and provide a great social outlet.
It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and engage in something fun and fulfilling. We welcome everyone over the age of eighteen who is interested in joining us—whether on stage or behind the scenes!
We’re always looking for new members, so reach out to us on social media or at hello@
After much anticipation and with the recent release of rights for a show we’ve had our eye on for years, we are delighted to reveal that our 2025 production will be...The Witches of Eastwick!
In collaboration with CAMERON MACKINTOSH LTD and Music Theatre International, we will bring this magical musical to life. Based on John Updike’s novel and the 1987 film starring Jack Nicholson, Cher, Susan Sarandon, and Michelle Pfeiffer.
Mark your calendars—this spectacular production will take place April 21st to 26th, 2025, at Newbridge College Theatre.
Now That’s What I Call the 80’s! will be a true celebration of music, community, and nostalgia, and we can’t wait to share it with you. Tickets are available now, so don’t miss out on an incredible night of 80’s hits performed by our talented cast.
