A teenage girl allegedly assaulted the occupants of a vehicle, Kildare gardaí have claimed.

The accusations were detailed to Judge Desmond Zaidan at Naas District Court on Thursday, October 3 last, during an in-camera (in private) court session.

The girl in question was accompanied to the court by two social workers.

There is also a co-accused in the case who is before the courts system, according to gardaí.

However, the co-accused’s exact identity was not disclosed before the court.

Gardaí told the judge that the Director of Public Prosecutions indicated summary disposal in the case: it was claimed that an incident of dangerous driving led to the damaging of the wheels on another vehicle.

The girl then allegedly 'seriously assaulted' the occupants of this vehicle.

Upon hearing the details of the allegations, Judge Zaidan refused jurisdiction over the case, and adjourned it to a date in November for a Section 75 application.

The judge also remanded the accused on continuing bail until the case resumes.
