Kildare County Council invites views on the Draft Kilcullen Settlement Plan

Kildare County Council has published a draft plan for Kilcullen that updates the objectives from the Kilcullen Local Area Plan 2014-2020 to achieve the successful planning and sustainable development of the town.

The draft Settlement Plan aims to ensure that the town has an adequate supply of development land to meet the needs of the town for residential, employment, commercial, community, recreational and other uses. It also includes measures for the provision of new infrastructure and the conservation of the town’s built and natural heritage, biodiversity, and much more. The plan aims to ensure that Kilcullen will be a thriving small town that offers an excellent quality of life to those living there that are proud to call it home.

When adopted the new Settlement Plan will form part of the Kildare County Development Plan 2023-2029, as required by planning legislation.
