Children from Naas Community National School along with ten other schools in the and surrounding areas are making the choice to “Go Phone Free.”
This means, they will choose not to have a smartphone while in primary school, they will have no social media while at school and will respect the age rating on video games. Collectively the children, families and schools want the children to be free from smartphones, free from social media and free to be kids.

As part of the launch of the initiative in their school, NCNS organised a poster competition and the children used their artistic talents to illustrate the numerous benefits of going phone free.
Many families in the school have already signed up to the plan and are ready to take part in this campaign. The judges had a particularly challenging task trying to pick a winning entry from each of the classes from second to sixth and the standard of artwork was exceptional.
