Fianna Fáil heavyweights visit Kildare North constituency

Some Fianna Fáil heavyweights including Tánaiste Micheál Martin have visited County Kildare to Naoise Ó Cearúil’s campaign to win a Dáil seat in the general election.

Minister for Agriculture Charlie McConalogue and MEP Cynthia Ní Mhurchú also made a visit in a show of support across the Kildare North constituency.

They met local residents, business owners, and community leaders. A poll-topping Maynooth-based councillor, Ó Cearúil is running for the Dáil in Kildare North for the first time.

Cynthia Ní Mhurchú joined him on a constituency tour through Maynooth, Celbridge and Clane discussing supports available from the European Union.

"Naoise has the vision and dedication needed to secure real benefits for Kildare North. It was inspiring to see his connection with the community, and I know he will bring that same energy to represent his constituents on a national level,” she said

Charlie McConalogue joined Naoise for a canvass in Kilcock and went door-to-door in Newtown, listening to people’s concerns and aspirations  with McConalogue highlighting Ó Cearúil’s “understanding of local issues and his unyielding commitment to making Kildare a leader in Ireland’s agricultural and equine sectors.”

Mícheál Martin was present with Ó Cearuil at the Wolfe Tone commemoration in Bodenstown. He commended Ó Cearúil’s leadership and dedication, adding “his years of service to Kildare speak volumes about his capability.”

Maynooth native Ó Cearúil says his campaign is centred on creating tangible, lasting improvements for Kildare North, from expanding economic opportunities and enhancing local services to addressing critical housing and infrastructure needs.
