The Athy Town Promoters’ Shop Local Campaign
Shoppers have a chance to win a cool €1,000 this festive period by supporting local businesses in Athy in the run up to Christmas.
The Athy Town Promoters’ Shop Local Campaign seeks to build a stronger local economy by encouraging people to shop locally and support local merchants.
Taking part is simple – just make a purchase at any participating business and complete an entry slip for a chance to win one of the many spot prizes OR €1,000 in cash.
The draw will take place on Monday, 23 December. The more purchases you make, the more chances you’ll have to win.
Local retailer Philip Manley, of Manleys Menswear on Leinster Street, emphasised the importance of shopping local, highlighting how the shop local campaign has made a “meaningful” impact.
He also praised initiatives like the shop local draw for “bringing the community together and supporting small businesses.”
