Counting of votes will continue in Kildare beyond midnight at least
The counting of votes in the Kildare North looks set to continue well beyond midnight at the Punchestown count centre.
Five seats in Dáil Éireann are up for grabs - but so far only one has been filled.
That went to FF's James Lawless earlier tonight.
His surplus of 502 votes was then distributed among the remaining candidates but these failed to election anyone.
Angela Feeney (Labour) has now been eliminated. Her 4000 plus votes are being shared out and the next candidate likely to be elected is Aidan Farrelly (SD).
