Planning permission has been issued to Boran Plastic Packaging Limited, The Mews, Leinster Mills, Osberstown Naas, for the change of use of the mews building from existing office use to staff accommodation.
A decision to grant planning permission was issued by Kildare County Council on 02/12/2024.
The €97k works also include the refurbishment and modernisation of the building to include new room layouts and timber stud walls at ground and first floors.
The new accommodation will include a proposed enclosed hallway to the stairs, the modernisation of the existing bathroom, and two proposed bedrooms, one front and one rear on the ground floor.
Also included is a proposed kitchen, living & dining areas with storage on the first floor, and all ancillary site services to include for the provision of a proposed water butt for stormwater disposal.
The change of use will facilitate the passive surveillance of the overall Leinster Mills complex, which is a protected structure.
The architect for the project is DC Turley & Associates.
