Plans for new €3.1m mental health community residence in Celbridge, Co Kildare

Application submitted to Kildare County Council on December 18 2024 by the Health Service Executive (HSE)

A planning application has been submitted to Kildare County Council for a new €3.1m eight-bedroomed mental health community residence in Celbridge, Co Kildare.

According to Construction Information Services (CIS), the application was submitted to Kildare County Council on December 18 2024 by the Health Service Executive (HSE).

The application seeks the demolition of the existing single storey hazel cottage at Primrose Hill, Celbridge, and the former gp/dispensary building.

Proposed is the construction of a new two storey HSE mental health community rehabilitation residence containing eight bedrooms and other ancillary accommodation, and six single storey transitional units.

Also included in the planning application is a bin store with associated site works to including landscaping, parking, new boundary walls and drainage.

The architect for the proposed project is Milligan Reside and Larkin (MRL).
