Local Kildare-based business SIÓG Botanicals has been nominated for the 'Best Newcomer' category in the 2025 Business of Craft Awards, hosted by Showcase Ireland. This exciting announcement highlights the incredible achievements of the flower art studio, co-founded by Lorna Frawley and Joanna Brien-Sammons, who are based in County Kildare.

SIÓG Botanicals specialises in creating pressed flower art prints and greeting cards inspired by the beauty of Irish nature. Their work has gained recognition not just locally but across the country, and this nomination is a testament to their passion and craftsmanship.

Adding to this success, SIÓG Botanicals was proudly selected by the Kildare Local Enterprise Office (LEO) to represent the county at Showcase 2025, Ireland’s premier creative expo. Being chosen to attend this prestigious event as part of the LEO-supported contingent is an incredible opportunity for the duo to share their work with a wider audience and to highlight the talent thriving in Kildare.

Earlier this year, SIÓG Botanicals relocated from Kildare Town to a larger studio space in Crookstown Business Park to accommodate their growing business. The move has enabled them to expand their operations and continue creating their unique, nature-inspired art pieces.

“We are absolutely delighted and humbled to be shortlisted for such a prestigious award,” said Joanna Brien-Sammons. “Having the support of Kildare Local Enterprise Office has been invaluable in helping us grow and showcase our work on a national stage.”

“This recognition is not just for us but for the entire community that has supported us along the way,” added Lorna Frawley. “From our customers to local supporters here in Kildare, we’re so grateful for everyone who has believed in our vision.”

The Business of Craft Awards celebrates the best of Irish creativity, innovation, and craftsmanship. For SIÓG Botanicals, being shortlisted among Ireland’s finest makers is an honour in itself. The winners will be announced at Showcase 2025 later this month, and no matter the result, the team at SIÓG Botanicals is thrilled to have reached this milestone.

The Kildare community is encouraged to join in celebrating this fantastic achievement. To learn more about SIÓG Botanicals and their journey, visit their website at www.siogbotanicals.ie.
