Farm animals are damaging property near the Curragh

Cllr Pat Balfe

There has been a call for action to be taken over damage caused by farm animals in the Curragh area.

Cllr Pat Balfe has asked Kildare County Council write to the Department of Defence to highlight the issue of damage being caused by livestock to properties “and resultant stress being experienced by residents of Curragh Downs, Curragh View and Orchard Park.”

The councillor said the damage is being caused as a result of the lack of measures in place to control and prevent access to these areas.

KCC is to contact the Department of Defence in relation to this motion.
