Warden can't be appointed for County Kildare school

No quickfire ban on heavy lorries from Naas town centre

A school warden cannot be provided at the Gaelscoil Nás na Riogh, off the Kilcullen Road in Naas.

Cllr Anne Breen requested a warden “in the interests of children’s safety and that of pedestrians.”

However, Kildare County Council pointed out that the school is located on private property and the access roads leading to the school from the Kilcullen Road have not been taken in charge by it.

“Therefore, a school warden cannot be provided within the school complex.”

Cllr Evie Sammon said that the taking in charge process is moving ahead.
