A number of juveniles were “set upon” by four individuals in Naas.
The local district court was told that the incident occurred at Harbour View, near the Grand Canal, in the town on October 31, 2023.

Nathan Ward, 19, whose address was given as 2 Osberstown Cottages, Naas, is being prosecuted on an allegation of assault.
Sgt Mary Meade told Naas District Court it will be claimed that the incident included kicks, assaults and slash wounds to the shoulder, head and wrist.
Detective Garda Christine Brady said that others associated with the incident were dealt with in the circuit court.
The case against the defendant was adjourned by Judge Desmond Zaidan and the defendant was freed on bail subject to conditions which included that he be available to be contacted by a mobile phone which is to be kept charged and that he sign on at Naas garda station.
