Irish Tricolour flag should not be flying overnight at this Kildare building

Call for change in how it is presented for the public

The Irish Tricolour should not be left flying overnight at the Kildare County Council offices in Naas.

That's according to Naas independent councillor Seamie Moore.

The flying of the national flag is governed by agreed protocol and Cllr Moore is calling for a policy change within KCC.

He's against "leaving the national flag flying overnight in darkness" at Aras Chill Dara.

Instead he wants "a daily raising and lowering."

He says this is "to acknowledge with due respect, the honour, freedom and pride of our nation."
