The burglary of a building site in County Kildare has led to a garda probe.
Details of the crime were discussed on a radio programme by KFM earlier today (August 20).
Garda Brian Carroll, who appeared on the programme as a guest, explained that the incident occurred sometime between 12am and 7.30am on Saturday, August 16 last at a building site in Rickardstown, Newbridge.
He went on to say that a window was smashed and a tool bag was stolen by the perpetrator.
"The offender then dropped the bag outside the property," Gda Carroll added.
He concluded by urging anyone with information about this burglary to contact Newbridge Garda Station on 045 431 212.
When asked by the Leinster Leader about this incident, a garda spokesperson responded: "Gardaí are investigating the burglary of a building site in Newbridge, County Kildare, between the hours 12am and 7am on Saturday, August 16, 2025."
They added: "Enquiries are ongoing at this time."
