A woman told Naas District Court that her husband owes her €11,000 in maintenance arrears for their children.
She told the court that the order was set up for the money to be paid into the bank account in mid-2023 and the payments ceased later that year.

She stated the amount arose from a weekly payment of €33.50 per child per week.
The man also appeared for the hearing and said that he had paid money to buy items required by the children that exceeded this amount.
He said he is paying between €150 and €180 per week.
He stated he had been “swindled” out of his home and he has no place to take the children until he finds suitable accommodation and he is seeking assistance from the county council.
He said he buys items like clothing and runners for the children and had spent more than the alleged arrears on the children.
He said his home was “taken away from me” and “I’ve no roof over my head.”
The couple agreed to an access arrangement during the hearing.
Judge Michael Ramsey said the man would have to pay €150 per week because of the arrears - but he could bring a separate application to court to vary this amount.
The judge also said the access arrangements could be varied by agreement between the couple without the need to go to court.
