Gardaí appealing for information on fatal shooting of man in his 40s

Seeking information on silver Toyota Avensis

Gardaí are appealing for information on a fatal shooting that took place yesterday. 

It is understood that a post mortem is currently being carried out today by the Acting State Pathologist, Dr. Michael Curtis, at the Dublin City Mortuary in relation to the fatal shooting of a man in his 40s, that occurred in the Kilbarron Avenue area of Coolock. 

Speaking earlier today, outside Santry Garda Station, Detective Inspector Michael Mulligan said: "We are appealing for anyone with information on the deceased man's whereabouts yesterday, 28/05/19, to come forward. We are also interested in speaking to anyone who was in either the Kilbarron Avenue or Castletymon Gardens areas of Coolock yesterday 28/05/19. We are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who has information on the silver Toyota Avensis car (04-D-71806) and its whereabouts since it was sold on May 20, last. This car was found burnt out yesterday 28/05/19 in the Castletymon Gardens area."
