Spectacular motors returning to Kildare for Gordon Bennett Irish Classic Car Run

Spectacular classic cars will be whizzing along the roads of Co Kildare, Co Laois, Co Carlow during the June Bank Holiday weekend for the Gordon Bennett Irish Classic Car Run.

 
The Gordon Bennett Classic Road Run showcasing vintage, veteran and classic cars and motorcycles across Co Kildare this weekend.


Day 1- Friday 

Meeting at Treacy's in The Heath and finish at Sheerans in Coolraine in the Slieve Bloom mountains.

Evening Reception in Portlaoise.

Day 2- Saturday 

Heritage Route

Today’s run travels through the Laois and Kildare countryside to Russborough House in County Wicklow, a Palladian Mansion overlooking the Blessington Lakes at the foot of the Wicklow Mountains built in 1742 for the 1st Earl of Milltown, and steeped in history. 

The Drivers Dinner, will be served in The Gandon Inn directly after the return from Russborough House. 


Day 3- Sunday 

Gordon Bennett Route, and a celebration of this great historical event


Prearranged stops on the route at the Moate of Ardscull, Ballitore Quaker village for lunch and refreshments and in Kildare Town for an event hosted by the Cill Dara Car Club, before ending at the Treacy’s The Heath.

The evening Gala Dinner will be held at The Killeshin Hotel.

Day 4 - Monday 


The Laois Leisure Run.

A  quiet drive through the Laois countryside and visit Kilcullen and celebrate 700 years of history.

Visit to Bardon's Pub where the French team stayed in 1903.
