Retiring Co Kildare politician gets thanks for outstanding service

A Co Kildare TD paid tribute to former Cllr Martin Miley Junior at a recent event in the High Cross Inn, Moone.

Fiona O’Loughlin, TD for South Kildare recently attended an evening organised to celebrate the 15 years contribution from Martin Miley Junior. Martin decided to hang up his boots earlier in the year and did not contest the local elections that took place last week.

Deputy O'Loughlin said:“ It was a lovely and nostalgic night in the High Cross Inn, Moone where the Miley family, friends and community gathered to celebrate Martin Junior Miley's contribution to Kildare County Council over the last 15 years.Martin is the third of three generations to represent the area and did so with great pride. Fantastic tributes were paid to a man I'm proud to call my friend, who is passionate about Kildare and deeply immersed in the social, sporting, rural and political aspects of life in Kildare.Thank you to John Donovan who organized the evening and thank you to Martin for your outstanding service”.
