The accident scene
This was the scene on the M7 northbound earlier this morning when three cars were involved in a minor collision.
The incident caused immediate tailbacks as the vehicles remained parked on the overtaking lane just before the turn off for M7 Business Park.
This photo, taken by a reader on a windscreen-mounted dash cam, shows the motorists exchanging their insurance details.
The incident happened on a reasonably straight stretch of the motorway leading up to Junction 10.
Unfortunately this is an all too frequent situation on the M7 as many long-suffering commuters know very well!
