This stunning sunset over Killashee Hotel yesterday evening may be a sign of good weather to come.

Although, we might have to wait until after the weekend to enjoy temperatures touching 20 degrees Celsius.

Today will remain dry in many areas despite a lot of cloud and some patchy drizzle.

It will be rather cool with highs 13 or 14 C in the east, to 17 C in parts of the southwest.

Irish Weather Online said the further outlook for next is encouraging.

A forecaster explained: "A more settled pattern may follow next week with highs closer to normal values of 18 to
20 C."
