The late Helene Burgess of Kildare Town

The family of the late Helene Burgess of Kildare Town has sent a heartfelt thanks to the Kildare Town First Responders who attended to her.

Helene, who lived in the Ruanbeg area, passed away on May 31 last and her loss is keenly felt by her family and friends.

Her family thanked the local Community First Responders and the Simon Community.

The family kindly requested that Funeral donations in lieu of flowers be given to both organisations.

A member of the Burgess family said:

"The last few weeks have brought so many emotions for our family.
"In saying that, our family and community gave us strength through a very difficult time - whether it was a note or card filled with kindness and love or a catch up over a cuppa. We feel blessed, sincerely to be a part of such an amazing family and community.

"Paddy Gibney and the Community First Responders crew stood steadfast over Helene Burgess until it was was time for her go.

"We can not thank you enough for your kindness and empathy.

"Time is precious, you give it freely. Your families sacrifice for the good off others.

"The compassion and dignity you displayed will stay in our hearts and thoughts for forever and ever. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

"Please support your local Cardiac First Responders."
