Naas Hospital reports that 14 patients are waiting for beds this morning

Naas General Hospital

There are currently 10 patients waiting four beds at the emergency department and four in wards elsewhere at Naas General Hospital.

Nationally 291 admitted patients are waiting for beds this morning, according to today’s INMO Trolley Watch. 202 are waiting in the emergency department, while 89 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.

At Cork University Hospital, there are 40 patients waiting for beds, 39 patients waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick and 30 at University Hospital Galway.

The INMO Trolley Watch counts the number of patients who have been admitted to acute hospitals, but who are waiting for a free bed. These patients are often being treated on trolleys in corridors, but they may also be on chairs, in waiting rooms, or simply wherever there’s space.
