Blood donations clinics have been announced for Kildare town and Naas.
It follows as the Irish Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS) is appealing for donations across all blood groups nationwide.
The IBTS is warning that if the situation doesn't improve, operations could be cancelled.
Kildare clinics
Three blood donation clinics will open around Kildare over the course of the week; all clinics are appointment based only.
One donation clinic will take place on Sunday, April 10, in Monread Community Centre Maudlins Avenue, Naas, from 12pm to 3pm.
The Naas Clinic is also running from Monday, April 11 to Thursday, April 14, from 3.45pm to 8pm.
In addition, there is a clinic in Kildare Town at Educate Together N.S,. Melitta Road on Monday and Tuesday April 11 to 12, and will run from 3.45 to 8pm.
