GAA Club in Kildare seeking planning permission to construct three new pitches

A GAA Club based in County Kildare is seeking planning permission from Kildare County Council (KCC) to construct three new pitches.

Kilcullen GAA Club is seeking consent from KCC to construct two juvenile grass playing pitches and one adult grass playing pitch on lands adjoining to the existing club grounds in Kilcullen.

Planning permission is also being sought for the redistribution of existing soil within site to form a revised level site, and the importation of additional inert soil and stones to raise site level by under 1 metre over redistributed soil level within an area of 3.1 hectare.

Haul access would be via temporary site works access onto existing road at Kilcullen Business Campus.

Kilcullen GAA Club is also seeking consent for the erection of an all-weather 30m x 15m training area with double sided ball wall with flood lights.

The ball wall will be 5m high and 15m wide, with a 5m high perimeter fence with four 13m high lighting columns to all weather pitch.

The Club is also seeking permission for the community fitness walkway & cycleway with active travel connections to existing neighbouring active transport nodes to the northwest, east and southeast of the subject lands with associated public lighting.

In addition, Consent for the alteration/extension of existing car parking bays and bicycle parking along with site infrastructure works, landscaping works and all associated site development works, is also being sought.

The date received is listed as November 29 last, while the submission-by and due dates have been given as January 2, 2023 and February 1, 2023 respectively.
