A motorist who was driving under the influence of drugs was arrested in Newbridge.
According to the official Garda Traffic on Twitter, while operating a checkpoint in Newbridge yesterday, the Naas Roads Policing Unit stopped a car driven by an unaccompanied learner driver.
The account explained: "Using the new DrugWipe road testing kit, the driver tested positive for driving under the influence of drugs.
"Car seized and driver arrested."
