Nás na Rí singers honour long serving members

On December 1, the choir of  The Nás na Ri Singers celebrated 50 years of singing with a gala concert in the Church of Our Lady and St. David, in Naas. 

The church was packed and the audience was treated to a programme of jazz, classical, spiritual and contemporary music. 

Special guests Zoe Conway and John McIntyre entertained everyone with their unique magical blend of traditional Irish music. 

Eight choir members were presented with awards for their contribution to the choir over 50 years, since it's founding in 1972. They are Gertrude Coffey, Anne Marie Rigney, Monica Martin, Breda Schwer, Michael Hughes, Bernard Duffy, Colette Behan, Anne Marie Higgins.
