Junctions on M7 Co Kildare due to be shut to traffic soon

Stretches of the M7 in Co Kildare will be closed overnight for a number of weeks next month.

The roads to be shut overnight for resurfacing from Friday, August 18 to Wednesday, September 6.

The roads to be closed are the  M7 Eastbound between Junction 12 and Junction 11 (M7 & M9 converge).

Kildare County Council announced that the roads are to be closed from Sunday to Friday mornings, between 10pm to 6am daily.

The closure is required to facilitate the resurfacing of the pavement and waterproofing of the M9 tunnel structure.

Diversions will be in place to facilitate the closures.

Divert from the M7 at Junction 12(Newbridge), Take the 4th exit from the roundabout onto the R413, continue along the R413 towards Kilcullen until the junction with the R448.

Traffic should take a right turn at the traffic lights and proceed along the R448, joining the M9 Motorway at M9 Junction 2 using the northbound merge slip ramp.

Continue north along the M9 until it joins the M7.
