Kildare family collect €500K prize they won on Euromillions draw

A family from Kildare were in National Lottery headquarters on Tuesday afternoon to collect their huge prize of €500,000, which they won on the Lotto last Saturday week.

The lucky family were among nine winners to arrive at the National Lottery's base in Dublin earlier this week, where there was a total of €3.4 million handed out in prizes.

The family from Kildare  purchased their winning ticket for the Euromillions at the Spar shop in the Ballymany Shopping Centre in Newbridge, which landed them the top prize in the Euromillions Plus draw.

A €20,000 scratch card winner from Wicklow who won the prize on a Money Multiplier X20 scratch card was also present to collect their prize. The lucky ticket was sold in Killincarrig in Delgany, Co. Wicklow

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “This was one of the busiest days we have had in the Winner’s Room in a long time. There is no doubt the weather was a factor. Players were keen to get their hands on their cheques before the Beast from the East made travel impossible!”
