Kildare GAA cancel all games this week due to the snow

All GAA games in Kildare have been called off this week due to the adverse weather conditions.
A large number of games were due to take place in the pre-season competitions for club football in the county this week, but they have all been cancelled due to the heavy snowfall.
The weather may also claim the National Football League fixture between Kildare and Mayo in St Conleth's Park this Sunday, along with the Lidl Ladies NFL clash between Meath and Kildare in Dunganny. With a tight National League fixture schedule ahead of this year's All-Ireland Championships, there is set to be some serious headaches for the GAA hierarchy as they look to move fixtures around.
As regards the All-Ireland Camogie Championship finals - featuring Kildare's Johnstownbridge - that are due to take place in Croke Park this Sunday, there is still some doubt as to whether they will go ahead. The pitch has been covered to protect it from the snow, but the roads leading to the venue and around it are of the most concern to the Camogie Association and Croke Park. A decision on that game is expected to be made today.
