Kildare girl leaves Tinder after degrading remarks from a match reduces her to tears

Tinder is becoming an App of increasing popularity in modern times, and there have been many success stories emanating from the use of the dating gadget that aims to help people find Mr/Ms Right. As with any social media service, there are plenty of bad eggs out there who use revolting language to degrade the people on the other end of the conversation.
That's what a young Kildare woman recently found out, as she was subjected to some very obscene language from a guy called Shane on Tinder. Caoimhe Phillips described the conversation she had with her match as embarrassing in a piece published by joe.ie, and says that it isn't right for someone to speak to another person like that.
"I would like for him to realise that it's not right to speak to any person like that," she began.
"It happened a few months back and it upset me a lot, but I didn't know whether to just leave it and forget because I even felt embarrassed over it. I decided today that people should see this because I've been seeing so many other posts about people abusing others on Tinder."
The conversation was quite explicit, with Caoimhe being told that she looked like she 'was gagging for it' and that she 'looked like a whore.' The dialogue took an even worse turn after that, with remarks so vulgar that KildareNow have decided not to publish them.
"I was quite embarrassed for a long time to show it but I think now it's him (Shane) that should be ashamed. I would just like for him to realise that it's not right to speak to any person like that, so I'm hoping he'd see it in an article by you guys," she said about going to joe.ie about the abuse.
"It feels silly to admit now but those messages left me in tears and I left Tinder for good after that, so it angered me a little to think I was left feeling that way while he just went on probably messaging others like that."
"Hopefully other boys who do the same will see it and realise that it's not OK to talk like this."
