Kildare homes wanted for 'decluttering' TV show with RTÉ and IKEA

A new TV series that gives advice on de-cluttering homes by using Ikea furniture is looking for candidates in Kildare.

Desperate Houses takes on cluttered homes and tackles issues like hoarding.

Experts offer homeowners creative solutions on how to reclaim their living space.

Two of the 'worst' rooms in the house are then given an entire makeover, with the help of IKEA Ireland.

A Coco Television spokeswoman said: "We are currently seeking participants from Kildare and the Leinster area for the hit RTÉ One series Desperate Houses.

"Each week we take a cluttered home and tackle their hoarding head on, offering them real solutions on how to reclaim their living space and giving them an entire makeover of two of the worst rooms in the house, all done with the help of IKEA Ireland."
