Jason Boland, the bassist with Kodaline, has married his long term childhood sweetheart at a private ceremony surrounded by family and friends at Waterford Castle Hotel & Golf Resort. Celbridge man Boland exchanged vows with long-term love Etaoin Corr, a music publicist, on Saturday in front of family, friends and his bandmates.
"Thanks so much to everyone that made our wedding the most magical weekend of our lives! What and incredible start to the rest of our lives together. See you all back there next year :-)," he captioned the first picture of the newlyweds.
In August, Kodaline drummer Vinny May married Carina Elliott in the lavish Lough Rynn Castle, County Leitrim.
Boland famously popped the question during the band's surprise performance with Ed Sheeran at Croke Park in 2015. At the time, Corr said she was shocked that her other half proposed in such a public fashion.
"I was watching from the side of stage, beside Carina [Elliot] and Diana [Bunici]. I knew something was up when Jay was given the microphone. He’s usually the quieter one."
Before she knew what was going on, Etaoin was ushered onto the middle of the stage by two security men.
"I can’t really remember a lot, I think I blacked out a little bit,” she laughed.
"Anyone who knows Jay knows he’s quiet and chilled back. I always thought if we did get engaged it’d be at home sitting in front of the tv and he'd just go, ‘D’ya wanna..like..?’ I didn’t think there’d be 80,000 people to share it.”
"We’ve been going out about seven years, but were friends since we were four or five years old."
