Kildare student Tomas Sims got to show off his innovative project to Minister for Employment & Small Business, Pat Breen, at the BT Young Scientist and Technology exhibition at the RDS in Dublin this afternoon.
The student from Scoil Dara in Kilcock has come up with a 'Braille machine', and it was one of the projects that the minister took note of today as he walked around the venue to inspect some of the 550 projects that have been brought to the event this year.

Tomas' project ties in with the theme for this year's exhibition, which is saving and improving lives.
10 Kildare schools have submitted a total of 14 projects this year, and there are more than 4,500 students attending the event that will continue over the coming days.
