As the final preparations get under way with primary and secondary students across Co Kildare getting set for 'Back to School' this week, Kildare County Council is seeking 5th and 6th class students to participate in a new promotional video to raise awareness about safe routes to school.
Kildare County Council is seeking expressions of interest from parents of incoming 5th and 6th class primary school children who wish to nominate their child to participate in a ‘Back to School’ and a ‘Safe Routes to School’ road safety promotional video for its social media platforms and local press.
The video will be produced by the council and will focus on safe routes to school, including the use of various types of road and pedestrian crossings while travelling to school by foot, on bicycle or in a vehicle.
All aspects of the production will follow the Child Protection and Data Protection regulations.
Interested parents can also send an e-mail to [email protected] to request a form. All forms, when complete should be returned to the council’s Road Safety, Cycling and Sustainable Transport Officer Declan Keogh for consideration.
Closing date for nominations is Thursday 31st August 2018.
