Kildare trains to Dublin delayed due to incident on track

Irish Rail has announced delays to services to Heuston Station this morning.

The 08.10 from Newbridge to Heuston struck an obstruction on line, causing mechanical damage.

Services following this will be affected. No further details have been released.

There will be 'significant' delays as there will be one-way traffic around the incident.

An Irish Rail spokesperson said: "Single line will be used for trains in both directions through area, with significant delays resulting."
