Kildare Village boardwalk temporarily closed for works
13:02 Thursday 12th of October 2017

The boardwalk entrance to Kildare Village outlet in Kildare Town is temporarily closed to allow works to take palace on the route.

A diversion is in place for shoppers who like to use the rear access point to the luxury retail venue, opposite Aldi.

One local told Kildare Now: "I liked the boardwalk entrance because I live locally and have small kids and it led directly tot he playground without going through all the traffic at the front."

She added: "There is an alternative  way in from the back now but it's not as nice or scenic."

It's not known what the nature of works taking place is.

Although during previous cold weather, the surface of the Boardwalk had been slippy in places.

So maybe anti-slip material is being added to the route.
