Kildare woman becomes radio sensation and is dubbed 'funniest caller ever' on Today FM

A Kildare woman became a national radio sensation yesterday morning following her brilliant phone call to the Dermot & Dave show on Today FM.

The Athy woman, who said her name was Carina when she came on the line yesterday morning before asking to be called 'Ann', told a story about meeting her boyfriend about 14 or 15 years ago and making him get sick.

While the story itself was absolutely hilarious, it was the laughter which preceded that cheered everyone up as Carina/Ann failed to keep it together before she even told the anecdote.

The story goes as follows;

"Years and years ago I was going out on a date with a guy," begins Carina.

"I was only about 14 or 15 and the hot smell of the time was the Body Shop duberry or white musk.  I decided to put on dewberry and you know when you're wearing something for a while and you can't really smell yourself anymore and you're like, 'Is this still on me?  Do I need more?' and I put on loads more and more and before I left I topped up!"

"I met my boyfriend and gave him a hug.... and he vomited."

Dermot and Dave were left in stitches, as was Carina.

"It's like when you have a strong alcoholic drink you don't touch it for life," she added.
