A Naas councillor wants a car free day along a section of the Grand Canal bank in Naas.

Cllr Bill Clear (Social Democrat) will raise the idea at a meeting of Naas Municipal District Council next week.

He wants to know what is involved in having a car free day on one Sunday a month on the road from Tandy's Bridge to Osberstown Bridge.
