M7 motorway
There are long delays on the M7 in Kildare today after a serious car crash.
A car travelling eastbound towards Dublin crashed and ended up on its roof just after Junction 14 between Monasterevin and Kildare town on Saturday afternoon.
The motorway slip road at Junction 14 is closed and traffic between there and Junction 13 is at a standstill.
This has led to a build up of traffic with emergency services blocking access to those trying to join the M7 from Junction 14.
Traffic is being directed in the area and delays can be expected. A recovery truck was reported on the scene of the accident shortly after 3.30pm on Saturday.
