Planning permission has been granted to Scoil Bhríde, Green Lane, Leixlip, Co Kildare for the provision of a single-storey extension to the side/rear of the existing two-storey building.
According to Construction Information Services (CIS), permission was granted for the €711,000 development by Kildare County Council on February 10 2025.
The extension ro Scoil Bhríde will consist of two special education classrooms (proposed floor area of extension = 468sqm.)

Scoil Bhríde also plans for six additional car parking spaces; vehicular set-down area; and works to modify and widen the existing gated vehicular entrance onto Green Lane.
There will also be relocation of an existing modular accommodation unit, a secure external soft play area, a sensory garden, additional hard-surfaced playground area, and all ancillary site development works.
The architects for the project are McLoughlin Architecture.
